AIDS At Home

I chose the God’s Love We Deliver piece in the care taking part of the AIDS at Home exhibit. The piece consisted of a woman preparing food, a donation box, and an article about the organization. The piece struck me because the way this organization helps out is with food. Sometimes you don’t know how to react to a situation and you just want to help with anything. What better way to help than food, the cure for everything. God’s Love We Deliver is there to deliver meals to homebound people with HIV/AIDS. They are here to feed the hearts of these people. Additionally, this piece stuck with me because I am a big baker and I love to give out cookies to anyone – it’s a good comfort food. I was surprised to hear that this organization was created by two people who just wanted to help out. Today God’s Love We Deliver, located in SoHo donates food to over one million people with over 200 different medical diagnoses.
