I chose these sneakers because they happen to be my every day shoes. I can dress them up, or dress them down, you can never go wrong with a pair of Adidas. As “in” these shoes are they have a history that the MoMa wanted to display. These shoes were specifically made in 1969, for basketball players because of the sturdy rubber toecap. They are durable and functional for sportswear. By the 1980s adidas reached the breakdancing B-boys and Run DMC crowd. These basketball shoes turned into a cultural icon creating a new hip-hop style made for streetwear. The adidas I wear today symbolizes a timeless, comfortable, and functional shoe.
