I saw a part of this opera when I was in middle school.   My mother took me home early, as I had school the next day.  This is first time I saw the whole opera.  This opera is emotionally charged, leading me into its story and making me empathize with the characters even if I don’t always understand the characters’ actions.  The singers were very powerful and emotive.  I entered thinking this opera would be a chore, but I exited knowing the opera is an experience.
