Realistic World We Live In

David Stewart raised the point that he made about holding oneself accountable for racism or exclusion when a person of a group is not represented. He mentions that anyone in his group chat, which is full of men, whom may say something offensive always gets corrected and that is the only rule for his chat that he has with his male friends. My question is: isn’t it exclusive to not have a woman in the chat? Is this the act of institutionalized norms? Wouldn’t it have been easier to just put a random woman in the chat to police the men around on how they should behave themselves? Obviously the proposition of adding a woman to the chat is really dumb and borderline crazy. In many instances, inclusiveness is just such an unrealistic thing that just simply doesn’t make any sense with the institutions that are already in place. Is this a bad thing? Yes and No.  It’s bad because people are denied jobs and dreams, but in a place like America this happens everywhere, but then again there is so much other opportunity. So I propose that people get over their dream(s) and go find a different interest. To be honest, the saddest thing here is the narrow-minded nature that people have for the dreams they strive for.
