Hi my name’s Liam Lynch, and I’m a freshman at CCNY and Macaulay. I’ve lived in NYC all my life and somehow I am still here. I like doing a lot of things, I don’t really know what’s important to say. I do a couple of things involving music: playing it, listening to it, and before the pandemic I volunteered at a place involving music. I like a lot of genres, but today I’ve been listening to a lot of jazz — specifically Chet Baker, Bill Evans, and Billie Holiday. I’ve gotten really into history recently and trying to understand the people of the past, specifically a lot of ancient history, prehistory, and 20th century stuff. Art’s cool, NYC is cool, so this class will probably be cool.
