Many have noted the existing relationship between popular culture and politics; this is why we’ve decided to focus on both for the Mexican Population.

As students, we were intrigued by the commonality of struggle against societal norms; whether it was the expectations of beauty and gender, or the expectations of subjugation, we  wanted to showcase dissenting and rebellious sentiments.
