Fahim, Kareem. “Agreement Saves a Garden at Brooklyn College.” The New York Times. 25 June 2010. Web. 14 October 2012.
The author of the article is a professional journalist. He reports on an agreement made between Brooklyn College and the community concerning the fate of a community garden on campus. The author’s intended audience is New York City residents. Brooklynites would probably be the most interested in this particular article. I cannot detect any bias in the article. The author objectively describes the dispute between the college and the community and then states the compromise made by both sides. The strength of the article is its objective reporting. The article was not exciting, though. Perhaps some bias would have made for more sensationalistic writing. The artice was written in 2010 so I am interested in revisiting this garden and a new one on campus that the article also mentions. Both gardens are likely candidates for stops in our podwalk.
There’s actually only one garden on campus now and I agree that it would be an excellent stop on the PodWalk.
