Business Improvement District

The Long Island City Business Improvement District is partnership run by property owners in the area. Its goals are to maintain high sanitation and economic standards in Long Island City. It also helps to promote the city and encourage residential and commercial growth in the area.

Some of the responsibilities of the LIC BID include keeping the streets litter-free, marketing the neighborhood, working with city officials, and supporting businesses.

The BID office is located at 29-10 Thomson Avenue, 9th Floor, Long Island City, New York 11101. [13]

The Long Island City Partnership represents the marketing department Business Improvement District for Long Island City. The Long Island City Partnership seeks to promote and support businesses that already exist in Long Island City or are looking to start up in the neighborhood. It is the main distributor of official news regarding Long Island City. Additionally, the Long Island City Partnership also provides resources to businesses to help save money and be more environmentally friendly. [14]
