Isamu Noguchi Foundation and Garden Museum

The Isamu Noguchi Foundation and Garden Museum is located just a few blocks away fromĀ Socrates Sculpture Park. Dedicated to Isamu Noguchi, it is the only museum ever to be built in someone’s honor while the artist was still alive. The Noguchi Museum opened in 1985 and was originally used as Noguchi’s studio. Today, the museum houses the late Noguchi’s original work, including paintings and sculptures, in a spacious merger of a garden and open gallery.[6]

The Noguchi Museum offers educational programs and tours to the public, also promoting people-artist interactions.
