"I actually do have ideas about pollution and the NYC food system! As far as oysters, they were almost completely tapped out by the late 1860s surrounding NY. The theory is that they were either dying from pollution from the urbanization of NY, being over-harvested, or a combination of the two."--( posted on Nov 3, 2010, commenting on the post Video Ideas: Pollution )
