Homework Assignment #1…. Just Kidding ;D

Hiyooo! Hey guys, my name is Carla Billena but you can call me whatever you like because this is Amurrica (America, just in case you are confused)! As you can probably tell, I love to be silly and make people laugh. One of my hobbies is listening to music such as: Kpop; old-fashioned music like Billie Holiday and Frank Sinatra; and even disco like Barry White. And I love lip syncing even though I can’t sing… sadly. So instead, I try to freestyle rap, but actually that does not come out too well either.

Another hobby I have is trying out new foods. I fell in love with soup dumplings and bubble tea which gave me one of the best experiences my taste buds have ever had. The soup is literally in the dumpling! Isn’t that beautiful? But my heart will always belong to my husband, the chicken nugget. Usually, I like to burn off the calories by weightlifting with my brother. The only part that kills me is leg day. The burning sensation is too strong!

I am extremely excited for this class. I love that we are going out of the realm of the classroom- or maybe I should say the library- to learn about the interesting places in NYC. The tea ceremony is the part that stands out to me the most. We get to experience new cultures while drinking tea! This class feels like a new experience in itself. The only part that scares me is the extensive use of technology; it took me an hour to figure out how to post this blog.
