A night with a shepherdess
The Shepherdess of Rolleboise by Daniel Ridgway Knight
Walking around the museum at late night with the group, I encountered this painting, or should I say, this painting encountered me (Haha.) This is beauty, i thought. From the atmosphere the painter set by its light sky blue color, to the vividness of the shepherdess, captivated me and made me stop in awe. Even after all the group work was done, I had to go back up to the fifth floor just to stare at this painting for another 10 min or so. This opportunity that Macaulay gave me was such a sweetness. Man, I’ve been missing out. Many inspirations and thoughts came across my mind while looking at the paintings in the museum; they will bring me back to some other museums to open me up to another level of reading the paintings. My heart was full of thankfulness after I came back from the museum. what a lovely night it was.
