Answer Or Decline The Call?

“A Call To Arms” brought me to the realization that this matter of climate change is more relatable than I thought. It reminded me of Hurricane Sandy and its tragic effect on the people of New York. Thank God, I was not impacted as negatively as others, but it did make certain areas of my daily life more difficult. It was hell to get to school and my school was also being used as a shelter. It goes to show how easily we can forget things like this. This article has also influenced me to try and become active in this movement. When McKibben mentions that students are getting arrested at Harvard and Washington University, it makes me wonder what am I doing to become somewhat of a martyr for this important cause. Nothing at all.  Therefore, this People’s Climate March is a necessity, in order to remind that climate change can severely impact us if we don’t find a solution or a way to improve.
