It’s hard having only one chance

We are all villains; it’s the truth. In one form or another, we have hurt someone whether he or she was our best friend or our worst enemy. In this case, the victim in this tale is person that I have never met. This is shown by the video “One Planet, One Chance,” where a picture spoke a million and ten words. A young boy was standing and surrounded by piles of garbage. He looked confused by the fact that no one was around to explain the ordeal facing him.
The scary part is that I, as a citizen of a first world country, is affecting him. But this isn’t the worst aspect; I don’t know how to help him. I loved that the video is making us more aware of the affects of climate change. But, at the same time, I feel so clueless. How do I truly make a difference? How much do I have sacrifice in my daily life? Can I make the child smile again? I don’t want to mess up or lose this one chance.
