Introduction to Climate Changed

The beginning of Climate Changed mainly revolves around Squarzoni reflecting over the memories of his childhood and struggling with his lack of knowledge on climate change. One thing that separates Squarzoni from other authors that we have read so far is that he seems to be the most objective. With all the other articles that we have read, the authors throw all kinds of scientific data at the reader. While it is great to know about the scientific data for global warming, it is important to understand what the data actually means. Personally, I could relate to Squarzoni because I also feel that there is so much more I need to learn about climate change. Sure I know phrases like “CO₂ emissions”, “energy crisis”, and “pollution”, but I don’t truly know or understand what those phrases mean.

So far I am enjoying the book and I am definitely looking forward to following Squarzoni on his journey to truly understanding climate change.
