He’s Gonna Need a Whole Other Book-Lexi

I find it difficult to pay attention to the facts Squarzoni is giving me when he draws so well. I’m like a little kid looking at the shapes clouds make, “uuu mommy look how pretty!”

Moving on…At points I think the accompanying images are photographs that he has put into a black and white filter. The real life images add to the severity of the issue. It’s possible that the increasing amount of information that Squarzoni is receiving has impacted his decision to write another book. Except, he’s being really stubborn about it.

But back to the photographs. I figure why not talk about it since we are going to a photography gallery (is that the right word for it?) soon. The image in the first frame on page 60. Can we discuss this? Obviously it is a landfill, but it is literally filling the land! How did we let it get that far? And the gases that are being emitted from these landfills are destroying our environment.

Squarzoni uses two photographs of a landfill. The second one on page 66 includes household appliances. These discarded energy vacuums are leaking toxic gases into our atmosphere…let that sink in…

Honestly, Philippe, how can you see all of this, read all of this, and still hesitate to write another book? Cue girlfriend to the rescue, because he responds to her question of whether he is going to include this in the book with “I’m gonna have to write another book.” His girlfriend gets the last line before the break, “I bet you will.” That might as well have been, “I told you so.”
