Im still doing the little chants “keep the oil in the soil, keep the coal in the hole…”
WOW just WOW. This has definitely been a one of a kind experience and a memory that I will keep with me for the rest of my life. I know I will be telling everyone about this, and when we save the earth I’m glad we will all have the privilege to say “yeah I was there”. As I was leaving I still held my poster up because I felt we have an important message to convey, just because we are young does not mean we do not care. As I was attempting to part my way from the march I was still drawn in at several points by the energy of the myriads of groups and activist that attended. This is not the first march that I have attended but I am glad that it is one experience that I got to share with you all. Marching along side individuals who are fighting for the same cause gives one such a potent feeling it is like an old chant “el pueblo unido jámas será vencido!” which translates to “the people united will never be defeated!” and this is true. We truly are making history one step at a time.
