Nothing to Really Report Here
To be honest, I am not sure how I feel about this section of Climate Changed. This section didn’t completely excite me or inspire me as much as the previous sections did. At one point the graphic memoir began to feel a little repetitive to me. He mentioned in previous sections the major weather events related to climate change and how important the concept of beginnings was for his journey in learning and writing about climate change. But at this point I couldn’t help but think, “Alright… I totally understand what you mean… Now can we move on?”
On an unrelated note, I found the illustrations of the conversations Squarzoni had with the climate experts to be pretty interesting. I admired how Squarzoni used different angles, facial expressions, and gestures when drawing the climate experts. To me it made the interviews seem more realistic and I almost felt like I was a fly on the wall. Overall, I am still looking forward to learning more about Squarzoni’s personal journey and how the rest of this story will unfold.
