Art is Freedom; Art is Restriction

Art is Freedom.

This graffiti painting represents the utmost of freedom. The women’s body and how high she is painted in the air makes it seem as she is flying. She is free, watching the world pass beneath her as she flies. Art allows artists to convey their emotions and thoughts. It allows them the ultimate freedom of expression.

 

Art is confinement.

 

The vines wrap around their tall fence, attempting to break free. However, the fence is too formidable a force and the vines will never leave its confinement. There are only so many colors an artist can use, so many techniques, and so many artworks they can create in their own lifetime. Even their own artistic talent may be confining if it cannot accomplish what they have in mind.
