Natural Boldness
Mostly, the photographs of nature had my interest. It amazed me that nature and its realities could be so surreal.
The first photo to make me stop and analyze it was of the Kamchatka in Russia (2006). The description read, “A tundra valley extends between the Tolbachik and Kamen volcanos. In the background, a line of clouds separates a ‘small’ crater 2,600 feet high from the huge base of Kamen Volcano, which rises 15,000 feet above sea level.” The line of clouds adds a glorious, heavenly effect to the photo. It seems as if the Kamen Volcano is floating or being raised above the Tolbachik Volcano.
I also enjoyed this photograph of two brother lions because I personally love lions. It demonstrates the relaxed side of these kings of the jungle. However, the description did mention that the photograph was taken after a night of hunting so I guess they got all of their ferocity out…
