Is anything really finished?

It seems that Squarzoni has finished his book; he thinks about the 2 years that he has spent living with it. He puts in the final period but all the pages are still in his head. I wonder if they really ever leave. It almost becomes a part of you- perhaps ingrained in your liver or maybe your spinal cord. The ideas you have learned stay. And from there the narrator knows that the process will begin again; another book will eventually be made.
This is perhaps just like climate change. The IPCC has a large role of giving a scientific explanation of this topic. The scientists continually have to write and organize articles with evidence of climate. They also have to explain it to the government and ordinary citizens. The process keeps going and going… and going. I guess you can say “The book is finished… But it continues on.”
