No more waiting…
You can try and push it back as far as possible, but there comes a time when you have to face reality…
Think of a time when you had a test.
Don’t worry about it, it’s a few months away. There’s so much time to prepare and nothing to stress over right now. I’ll just start next month.
It’s still a few weeks away. The test probably isn’t that serious, I can totally prepare for it quickly and still be fine. I have plenty of time to prepare. I’ll just start next week.
Its a few days away… I guess I still a bit of time. It’ll be tight but I can handle it. No need to stress. I’ll just start tomorrow.
It’s tomorrow. I can do this. I just have to study months worth of material and cram it all into one night. If I really focus I can get a decent grade of the exam. Let me just check Facebook for a bit first.
Its right now. There’s absolutely no time. I’m not prepared when I had all the time to just face it and get it done. Even if I try my best, I still will struggle and I’ll still face the consequences. It’s too late now.
This is now we have been with climate change. The quote above stood out to me because it highlights how we’ve put off dealing with climate change because we’ve tried to believe that we had more time to handle it. Sooner or later, we’ll see our ill-prepared we are because it’s already to late. We’ll still have to face the consequences no matter how hard we try.
No more waiting. We have to start now.
