“You can try and push it back as far as possible, but there comes a time when you have to face reality”

I know my title is really long!!! haha, but I really like that quote. We can try to ignore our problems as much as we want, but eventually we have to face them and deal with them. We can ignore climate change as much as we want, but we will have to deal with it eventually.

This section starts off with Squarzoni stating that its a beautiful summer morning, but somewhere in the city there are dead or wounded people. Things can seem perfect, but in reality there are problems that we don’t realize or refuse to acknowledge.

Later on, Squarzoni’s girlfriend mentions how we always see the Earth as being round and perfect so the pictures we choose to represent Earth are the ones that are perfectly round. She states that there is never any “shadow” over our planet; we never really see anything wrong with it. We would all like to believe that our home is perfect because it makes us feel more safe and secure. Our idea of Earth is that it will always be there, but if we continue increasing the CO2 emissions, our Earth will be far from perfect.
