A Positive in the Midst of Chaos?

The information provided on pages 276 and 277 was really eye-catching. Squarzoni tells us that the temperate regions and the cold regions would profit from a warmer climate. There is even an illustration of a woman eating a ripe pear straight off a tree’s branch and the quote above it says “taste the flavors and pleasures of life.” However, the key words are “at first.” This positive won’t always be the case for these regions.

Then, Squarzoni goes off to compare this positive to the condition of the rest of the world. Subtropical countries will suffer from droughts, arid lands will increase, and crops will decrease dramatically. Deterioration of an agricultural system will result in serious problems. Malnutrition would increase exponentially, and so would deaths. Congrats, we could possibly have humans become endangered species or extinct. I would love to see a law proposed that limits the endangerment of humans. That would be interesting.
