No Words

There are no words to describe the Fall for Dance….

Mesmerizing

Captivating

Hypnotizing

Fascinating

Inspiring

Ok, never mind there may be a couple of words.

But, anyway, the Fall for Dance was MESMERIZING, CAPTIVATING, HYPNOTIZING, FASCINATING, INSPIRING, AND MUCH MORE!!!!! Me, Lisa, Hye Jin, and Jackie arrived a little late (I will take the blame this time). We came while the first performance was going on and the lady outside wouldn’t let us in until they were finished. Fortunately, there was a TV outside that showed the performance. I was just waiting to get inside so I could see the dance in person!! We were led inside and proceeded to watch the next performance, “Neue Suite.” I have never seen ballet in person and it was MESMERIZING, CAPTIVATING, HYPNOTIZING, FASCINATING, AND INSPIRING! l love the different colors that each couple wore; I thought the color correlated with the relationship that each couple shared with each other. The red couple stood out to me as passionate and I loved the way they ended their performance, they were spinning in the air as the lights went dark. AP15 was performing craaazzyyyy moves; I couldn’t stop watching them. Minus 16 ended the show. When the dancers were sitting in a circle and one by one throwing off their pieces of clothing, I thought of it as they were slowly giving up, except for that one man that just kept falling to the floor, but kept his clothes on; he was holding on even though it is hard to do. I was looking at the Playbill that was given to us and it says on the Minus 16 page that they were celebrating Mari Kajiwara who was a deceased member of the Ailey company and the late wife of Ohad Naharin, who was the choreographer. Maybe Ohad Naharin feels like the man who kept falling, but never gave up. His wife died, how could he continue on choreographing without her? He is holding on even though it is hard to do. The last performance really included everyone! The people who went up were hilarious!! They really got into it!! I still think Prof. Perl should have been picked though!
