Like wind through Pine Trees
My calm disappeared like an hour ago. But I was most certainly feeling relaxed after our educational tea ceremony. I don’t like tea. Like at all. I still don’t like tea. It was bitter, but I drank it because the tea master was so passionate about his job and I’d feel bad if I didn’t drink it. The cookies were made with fruit from the gingko biloba tree, possibly from the ones outside the tea house. I figured that out because there was an imprint of the gingko leaf on it. Surprisingly, it was pretty good. The one thing that stood out to me was that the way he knows when the water is ready is from the sound. If it sounds like wind through pine trees then the water is ready. How cool is that? I’ve never actually heard wind through pine trees, but it’s quite fitting for the occasion. And this entire time, Memory of Water was about Chinese tea ceremonies. Unless, there was a blend of the two?
