Look Inside
Upon thinking about what to do about global warming as an individual, I found something in this section: Squarzoni doesn’t tell us what to do. He closes in to what the real problem is. The true problem is that the problem is inside us.
We don’t carry the mirror to look back to ourselves. We live on, judging and evaluating what other people do, while we do the very same thing. We see and examine what other people do only to feel better of ourselves. We think “oh, im not that miserable,” “come on, I would never do a such thing,””dont worry about it, it’s not my problem.”
Squarzoni reminds us that we dont see the problem not because it’s somewhere else on the other side of the planet but because the problem is inside us.
Only when we have the mirror to look at ourselves, we have a true interpretation about the world. The world is suffering. And the problem is caused by us; it wasnt created by anyone in Africa.
Squarzoni urges us saying, “you better look at what you are causing.” It’s time for us to ask the mirror to tell us the real answer. We are not the prettiest of all. The snow white is.
