A Jazzy Evening

I am no stranger to Jazz music. Since my dad is a Jazz musician, I have definitely developed an appreciation for the genre. Even through I was looking forward to the concert, I didn’t think that I would see or hear anything particularly impressive. I was happily proven wrong. Besides being very talented, the members of the Cyrus Chestnut Trio sounded so harmonious together. The sounds of the piano, bass, and drums complimented each other. Yet, each instrument had a unique sound and were able to stand on their own. Seeing the movements of the musicians was like watching another performance. It was great to see how truly passionate they were about entertaining the audience. Despite the freezing rain and the insane amount of time it took to get to the concert hall, I really enjoyed the evening. It was great to hear music that has played such a major role in America’s history and culture.
