Keep Calm and Jazz On!

I am not very familiar with Jazz music, so I didn’t know if I would like the Jazz performance. That being said, I was so surprised when I actually liked the music that Peter and Won had in their presentation. After their presentation I was excited to go to the Cyrus Chestnut Trio. The three men that performed love what they do; that is very apparent. As they played their instruments, their bodies moved and flowed to the rhythm of the beat. They were enjoying themselves and they wanted the audience to enjoy themselves as well. At times I felt my body reacting to the music; my head was rocking back and forth and my foot started tapping to the beat. Other times, I closed my eyes and really tried to feel the rhythm. I would not have gone to a Jazz performance on my own because I thought Jazz wasn’t really my type of music, but after this performance I realized that Jazz is an amazing genre of music that I would love to be exposed to more often.
