Melodic

It was such a drag to attend this event, with the problems of the 1 train and the depressing, rainy weather. This might have taken away from the Cyrus Chestnut Trio being a better experience. But then again, I’m a sort of a narrow-minded person when it comes to music so I probably wasn’t as interested as everyone else.

However, there was one piece that really liked (I don’t know the name because I didn’t receive the pamphlet). It was upbeat and an interesting mixture of sounds, especially the drummer. I played the drums when I use to go to church so it was nice to see that. I also really like how the guys were so active with their bodies as they played. It’s as if the rhythm traveled from deep within and was expressed through the music.
