The Naughty List
He’s making a list, he’s checking it twice; gonna find out who’s naughty or nice. Santa Claus is coming to town.
Sadly, I don’t think he is going to be very pleased. We are definitely not included in this nice list indicated by our heavy use of the wrapped Christmas presents of coal, which actually represents 40% of today’s electricity production. Because it such a plentiful and cheaply accessible resource, coal is becoming an easy solution to the diminishing oil reserves. But the problem is that it is also the dirtiest-burning of the fossil fuels. If we were able to burn all the coal available, the temperature on the planet could increase by 10 degrees celsius. This would end in a great catastrophe! If we don’t get off this naughty list, “…this Christmas story could end very badly.”
