New York Botanical Garden
Going to the New York Botanical Garden was a hassle. First of all just finding the entrance was a bit confusing. We literally had to walk around the whole Garden gate until we got to the entrance. At the same time, were being done a “favor” of granting us free admission even though our cultural passports clearly stated we had the right to get a free admission. Due to the lack of membership passes, we were not permitted to enter the floral exhibitions, but rather only allowed to explore the ground. Despite the rain, it was so nice to be enclosed by nature’s beauty. In fact, I think the rain enhanced the aesthetics of each plant. For example, what looked like pink daisies, turned out even more appealing as the water droplets from the rain remained on the petals.
Even the whole group was mesmerized by such aesthetics.
The day ended nicely, as we walked towards the Bronx Zoo and stopped by McDonald’s to grab lunch just before attending our next class.
