What are we suppose to do?

So, what are we suppose to do about climate change? At this point I don’t even know. I don’t understand what we are suppose to do to make things better. But then the question is can we even make things better if we had the chance. On page 359, the plate shatters which signifies our planet shattering. Eventually, Earth will be destroyed because of our overconsumption. Why does our society need so much energy? That is a good question. Why do we need so much energy? Why, in general, does our society need so many things? We always want more. We can have everything we need, but still we are going to want more because there is always more. It is our way of thinking to believe that we never have enough. We spend our entire lives trying to get things and we will never be happy with what we have. To lower our CO2 emissions, we need to change our way of thinking and cut back on how much energy we use. But here is the question can we cut back on the amount of energy we use? I don’t know if we can. I don’t know if I can. I would try at least; I mean I don’t want Earth to be destroyed anytime soon.

As a side note, why did the dog have to die? That was so random and I’m confused as to why that even happened. Is it like how the world will end? It will happen so randomly and abruptly. Just like how Squarzoni thought he would be able to take his dog out for a walk and then he sees that she is dead; is that how the world will be? It will happen so suddenly and when it does happen we will all be extremely shocked.
