Origins of Where We Are From

It was an eye opening experience to see my peers’ videos – to see what they themselves described as making them tick.  Each video seemed to be a multimedia thumbprint of each person – for example, Carla’s was funny and inviting while Sara’s was gentle and introspective.  I l also was able to learn a lot more about my peers – who knew Peter was an Urban Tarzan?

The process seemed a bit stressful.  I am a self-proclaimed techno peasant.  Technology tends to escape me.  I never touched Garage Band or iMovie before in my life – nor did I plan to.  They were tabs in my laptop I never planned on opening.

I was surprised and impressed by me actually figuring this out.  I learned how to record my music on Garage Band, to create a video montage, and to record a voiceover.  And the results were not to terrible.  Through my poem, I realized what made me who I am (at least for now).  Carla, Lisa, and I struggled together – boosting each other up.  Violetta, who already finished her own project, insisted on helping us.  She helped me add credits and upload my video onto both the blog and Youtube.  No wonder I credited her as my Moral Support.

All in all, even though I was stressed, this project was enjoyable.  I look forward to watching it in a few years, seeing who the 18 year old version of me, reminiscing, and observing the change within myself.
