Hope is not a Plan
Can you imagine being that woman and walking through all that destruction? As you look to your right and left all you see is the remnants of what was once life, a happy life. One day everything can be perfect and in the blink of an eye, everything you hold dear to your heart is gone. Houses were destroyed, cars were underwater, people died- all of this was caused by Hurricane Katrina. We were fortunate to not have to endure the hardships Hurricane Katrina caused, but there are many hardships that will come our way very soon because of what we are doing to our planet. People need to realize that we are causing climate change. WE are causing these natural disasters.
The pictures in this section are extremely sad. There are people with a “Help Us” sign, a father holding his son in distress, a woman crying out, etc. While this is happening Bush is focused on the war in Iraq and Condoleezza Rice is seen spending THOUSANDS of dollars on shoes. These were the leaders of our country. They should have been helping New Orleans, but instead they were focused on other things. What would happen if the world ended? I can’t imagine how the world would handle it, especially America. It would be complete chaos; destruction and death would be everywhere.
