Behind the Scenes: The Making of ‘Where I’m From’

The monstrous growl of the printer as it scanned each picture. The rapid clicks of the computer as each image was dragged to its designated spot. And finally the invisible tears of joy as I sat down in the middle of the night and watched as Youtube played my production. Despite the hardships dealt within the process, I am grateful to Professor Perl and Ben for giving us this assignment. Just looking at all the pictures inserted into the video, I felt a stream of nostalgia. I learned that all those small moments and experiences in my childhood shaped the girl that I am today. Upon seeing others, I have learned more than I thought I knew about them. I learned about their family, their origin, their hobbies, and their past all outside the classroom setting. It was truly a pleasure to see everyone’s video display the uniqueness that makes us one of a kind.
