Response to New York Historical Society
After Snapshot Day, I examined a few exhibits at the NY Historical Society. They had some really eye-catching illustrations. Sadly, I couldn’t take photos of the ones that I really wanted to but here are a few that I grew fond of:
I really enjoyed looking at this picture. The waterfall’s presents itself as a powerful figure. I can hear the water crashing against itself and overwhelming anything nearby.
This photo intrigued me because it shows the gentle side of people, symbolized by the presence of the deer. Especially in this day and age, it’s relieving to see something quite calming to remind us that we’re not always harmful.
There was TOO much going on in this picture. I figured out that there was a war going on due to the fact that soldiers are in the background and some people are injured. It’s seems as if this town is going through some havoc because people are scurrying, crying, complaining, etc.
