Figarooo!!!

Wow! I am actually going to watch an opera with my very own eyes. I learned about the history of operas in music history, but unfortunately I don’t remember anything. The reason for this is that I didn’t think the information would ever be useful and also I never used the information again. A normal conversation for me does not include, ” Carla, the Le nozze di Figaro was absolutely splendid!”
I guess I really do need to gain that knowledge back, so I can understand the author’s passion. Her writing is so poetic that it enthralled me; when she talks about composers or arias, she makes operas sound really interesting. Going to one was not really my forte and, in fact, I felt that it may be a bit boring (spending hours and hours sitting). But this author really gets me excited!
