more optimistic

After I read the graphic memoir “Climate Changed” by Philippe Squarzoni, I thought our climate was already changed totally. That was really obvious; I can feel our climate everyday. It was snowy a few days ago, and it is 63 F today (it was like spring in December!!!!). Also, we see that there are so much natural disaster throughout the world by watching news. Squarzoni described and explained well about climate changed with statistic evidence and quotes from expertise of environment. So whenever I read the book, I could learn many things about global warming and it make me keep thinking about our climate, but I was slightly depressed and I worried a lot. I felt so bad because I felt like our world will end soon.

But as I read the article “The Turning Point” by Al Gore, I felt more better than before; the author was more optimistic. He said that some of damages are unfortunately irreversible, but it is not too late to save out planet and we are even trying to save our planet already.

Al Gore has very optimistic opinion for renewable energy. “Our ability to convert sunshine into usable energy has become much cheaper far more rapidly than anyone had predicted” and “Enough raw energy reaches the Earth from the sun in one hour to equal all of the energy used by the entire world in a full year”. He described how many nations such as Germany use renewable energy such as solar and wind very well.

By reading this article, I felt much better and could have hope more than before. I really appreciate to the author for making me feel much better and explaining well us about optimistic view of climate.
