What I Learned
Can I believe that I made that video? No, not really. If anyone would’ve asked me to make a video from scratch a few weeks ago, I would’ve scoffed looked at them incredulously. I would tell them, “are you crazy? I have no idea on how to make one.” Well, now as I’m typing this, I know that I don’t believe in that anymore. I am surprised and proud of myself after this project.
Along the journey to create this video, I realized a three minute video was really hard to make if there wasn’t enough content. Realizing this, I added to my poem which increased the video’s length. I also had some technical problems with iMovie which took me awhile to resolve. Sometimes my video got randomly deleted but, in the end, when I finally uploaded it to Youtube, a sense of relief and slight awe washed over me. I did it! I thought I never could but I did.
I think it was all worth it when I showed it to my parents. I didn’t know what I was expecting and they didn’t know what they were expecting. After the video, they teared up, making me tear up. My dad kept replaying my video and looked at me with awe. Although I didn’t do much, their appreciation for my work made it all worthwhile. Presenting it to the class was also very nerve-racking. But I am extremely happy that everyone liked it.
All in all, I am proud of myself and for the whole class because we all created something amazing. This was all possible because of Professor Perl and Ben. Thanks for helping us creating this video!
