Walking in a Winter Wonderland

I loved the Lehman Winter Concert!

One of the things I miss most about high school is orchestra.  Eighty people with gorgeous instrument creating beautiful music together – nothing is comparable.  Holiday concerts have been a large part of my life since the third grade.  I remember how happy I was in Glee Club – music rising from our lips and resonating against the walls of our auditorium.  Our parents looked so proud and we felt so grateful to be part of something so magical.  LaGuardia Holiday Concerts were wonderful.  We spent months working on the same pieces for that day.  The moment we stepped on stage was electrifying and the music we created proved that our hard work paid off.

The Winter Concert reminded me of this.  Seeing Lehman students, professors, and almuni creating beautiful music together warmed my heart.  Everyone looked so happy to be a part of something so magical and the audience enjoyed the beautiful, relaxing music.

I really enjoyed the holiday music – especially the part when the audience got to sing along.  Violetta and I really got into it.

I am so glad Lehman has performances such as this one.
