Tap Dance & Modern Dance at Queens College

It was a night out to Queens College to watch the show that students prepared with my girlfriend. The students from the Dance Department of Queens College hosted a modern dance show.

The show started with 9 tap dancers. This didn’t meet my expectation. The beats and rhythms were often disorganized. Sometimes, the taps didn’t even make sense to me. However, the next pieces of modern dances were well-performed.

The movements subtly explained and displayed the emotions of the dancers. The lights and the stage were mediocre since it is from a small studio of a college; however, I personally think that the dancers carried out the show.

It was a good exposure to modern dance before the Fall for Dance.
