The Beginning of how the End Begins with an Ending

Coming into this class, I knew nothing about climate change. But Professor Perl has completely changed that. All of the projects completed and events attended have really inspired and informed me. We have so many people that are uneducated about climate change and it really sucks because we need everyone to know and make an effort in order for this movement to be effective. But all we can do is be persistent and patient with the rest of the world.

I had so much fun in this class. All of the work was tiresome, but at the same time exciting. Alongside the completion of these projects, I have learned how to use iMovie and Prezi, which I have never touched in my life. I also learned a lot about myself from the Where I’m From project and I was excited to present my movie.

In addition, I can actually say I liked the blog posts (at most times). I enjoyed reading my classmates’ different perspectives and I enjoyed responding to everyone. I tried my best to make comments mean something instead of just stating how great their post was. This entire class has encouraged me to pick a particular piece of something and evaluate how it spoke to you so that’s what I’ve tried to do, whether it was responding to an event, reading or classmate. Looking forward to the rest of my Macaulay experience!
