The Witch Shall Not Prosper
First, I must say that I’m impressed as to how these opera performers can continuously keep singing like that. I’m really thankful for the “follow-along” lyrics in the front of our chairs because their voices were great but I barely understood a word that they were saying. This event was pretty interesting. I was ecstatic to see that most of the performance rhymed, making it more appealing to the audience. I really liked how the father went into great detail on his perspective of witches, claiming they had “Satan’s eyes” and “hearts of stone.” I also thought it was scary when all those weird-looking chefs made an appearance. Overall, not bad for an opera!
