New York Historical Center

Going to the New York Historical Center was definitely a new experience. I can’t believe that all the times I have been to the Museum of Natural History but I never saw the New York Historical Center right there! Anyways, it was so nice to see everyone’s photographs. It was a bit of a puzzle trying to find my own amidst the art of others, but I did nonetheless. What really astounded me was that all these photographs were taken on the same day! I never would have thought that the New York could be so different and diverse on the same day. I think it would also be really interesting if in the future we had an assignment just like this except everyone was required to take a photograph and the same hour or time. I think that would be amazing to see assortment of images ranging from all five boroughs and beyond. I have been to art galleries before in high school and it still impresses me how even though all the art is in the form of a photograph, the way that the exhibition is laid out and organized is done in a way that it catches the viewers attention.
