Arts in NYC

It was a great pleasure working with everyone and getting to know them on our journey to learn about climate change. Now, when someone asks me about it, I have more than just the few phrases I jotted down in the beginning of the semester. I have books, articles, and this entire site to refer to. I now understand at least enough to begin a life of environmental activism.

It was so fun to go to all the events in NYC and learn about art in today’s culture. There was more to this busy city than it seemed. From the climate march to the opera, I really felt like I was exposed to so many things that I would not have otherwise experienced. I felt like I belonged to NYC just by connecting to the art and its artists. I loved the idea of blogging with everyone, not just because I have my own blog on tumblr, but because the exchanging of ideas made it that more fun and enriching to learn. I’m going to miss everyone and thank everyone for being so cooperative the whole way. We grew a lot together–individually and as a class.
