Thank You Macaulay, Prof. Perl and Ben
Final Words
As most of my peers have already mentioned, this seminar has been a great experience this semester. It didn’t only teach my about Climate Change facts and Global Warming projects, but it also improved my technical skills by incorporating the use of writing blogs for each project. I had never thought I would be writing blogs and my fellows would comment on my writing. Another major thing I learnt is to create movies using iMovie. Who would have thought these little YouTube videos need so much effort to be created. Since our digital projects, I have created about 4 or 5 little movies for my friends and I am teaching them as well because I think this is one of the most creative ways to present our digital projects because we all know Power Points are boring. For the most part, all the credit for making us comfortable with writing blogs and creating movies goes to Ben because without him, we would never be able to create those cool videos.
Besides improvement in my technical skills, I have also learnt to comment on art pieces. Prior to taking this seminar, I was neither interested in going to museums nor excited about art pieces but this seminar made me realize how much fun is it to look at art pieces and share our opinions about it with our fellows. Through the amazing trips to museums and shows, I learnt how art can be expressed in numerous forms and how much creative could artists get with each art form. All the credit for making me appreciate the art goes to Prof. Perl because without her, this seminar would not be the same.
Lastly, I want to thank Macaulay for sponsoring all these amazing trips to shows and operas because if they were not sponsored, I don’t think I would have gotten the opportunity to enjoy the first opera of my life.
Thank you so much Macaulay, Prof. Sondra Perl and Ben Miller.
