Confusion

This performance was quite mind-boggling and I’m the one that did research on it…

I guess Birds with Skymirrors was too complex for me to interpret or comprehend on a level beyond its physical attributes. I mean, I knew that Birds with Skymirrors was about climate change due to research for my powerpoint but I couldn’t connect the play to climate change as I actually watched it. The eerie sounds of the background music and the quick gestures by the performers all combined to create an eccentric performance. The performers moved as gracefully as birds and presented strong apathy in their facial expressions.

Resulting from an inadequate understanding, this performance led to a series of questions. Most importantly, why was the naked woman in the beginning of the play screaming like a psychopath? She actually woke me up because I was tired. Then, why was that other half naked slapping his chest as if he was demented? So confusing…
