Climate Change in Our Culture
The one thing that struck me about “What the World Needs is Art, Sweet, Art” was his statement about future generations not knowing what global warming meant to our generation. Considering that the article was written about nine years ago, the issue of climate change has definitely become a larger part of our culture. I remember when I was picking up Climate Changed from Barnes and Noble, there was a whole section in the store that was just dedicated to literature on climate change. There is a growing number of novels, articles, documentaries, and other forms of art that are being created on the subject of climate change. So when thinking about future generations, I have no doubt that they will have a strong idea of how our generation felt about climate change.
