Impressive!
This is my first time to go to photography exhibition. I thought it would be boring and I did not want to go in the first time because I did not have any interest in arts; however, I was so astonished that I could not even move to another photographies. Every picture has each own characteristic and impression. In Sebastiao Salgado exhibition, the works exhibited are all digital prints made with Ilford Galerie. All photographies were printed in White&Black colors.
Large Sand dunes between Albrg and Tin Merzouga, Tadrart. South of Djanet, Algeria. 2009.
As I went to downstairs, the picture above captured my attention with its beauty of Black&White picture. I doubted my eyes whether it is a photography; it has perfect shape and balance. When I was young, I used to go to art academy. Salgado’s photography was like a drawing that I saw in art academy. I wonder how nature creates those beauty and balance perfectly and advantages for Black&White pictures emboss a design of sand dune.
I used to like colored pictures. There are some applications on my cellphone, using various types of camera technology. Black&White photography makes me focus on the picture more than I do on colored pictures. I could more focus on the actual composition and texture of the picture. I could focus on shadow, shape, and texture of the photography.
